I. Welcome!

I feel very privileged to be able to welcome you to this very wonderful business. I congratulate you on your decision to get started in a business that has the potential to pay you a multiple six-figure income over the next couple of years. When I joined Resorts 360 in February 2009 I made a decision to go OPPOSITE from where everyone else was teaching.

For many years, I taught that internet marketing was the quickest and best way to get an MLM business started if you were new… I was wrong.

It is the quickest and deadliest way for getting people to become confused, burned out, working too hard, spending $100’s and $1000’s on advertising with little results, little leads to speak with and they do not produce quick and easy sales because it takes months and years to get it right.

Remember, it took me 4 years to get it right!

MLM is built for speed. Money likes speed.

It’s supposed to become like wildfire, where a tiny spark can ignite an entire forest on fire quickly.

Our model is tell a couple friends and family members you know… do some networking in your local community with people you have a relationship with and then see if they are open to new ideas and ways of making money and saving money on their travels. Not everyone will say yes, and that’s fine. We only want to work with the people who say, “YES!” anyway.

When done correctly… you’re spark of passion will engulf many people and become contagious with energetic and enthusiastic people joining you and passing on the same spark to others letting your residual income grow as a result.

Why am I not advocating you use the internet for your first 90 days and what exactly does that mean?

My mind was changed when I met a very successful local network marketer, who is a Chiropractor and saw how he was able to build a 10,000 member team in less than 2 years never using the internet and never doing any Web 2.0, PPC, social media, blogs, video, or websites of his own.

All he used the internet for was to connect people to presentation tools and to sign people up.

That’s it! He did not use the internet to go hunting for and creating leads. (this is where you should be going… "Jeff, this is good news, but what does that mean?"… I’ll show you in a minute)

He only used the Internet  to show recorded business presentations and training videos (that the company provides). He used it to keep in touch with his downline. He used it to sign up people to his program and to give people access to tools and resources provided by the company.

Let me repeat this… he does not and still does not use the internet to do ANY online lead generation.

His business was built completely with warm market referrals of people who saw the opportunity, liked the product and decided to get started and then were taught the easiest and simplest model for duplication.

He started with only 15 personally sponsored people, of which a few dropped out and he was left with 12 people. Those 15 people were people he knew. They were family, friends, business associates and people from past programs he was a part of. They were people who worked at his Chiropractic office as receptionists. They were college roommates. They were just friends and family.

From those 12 people, a downline of over 12,000 is now under him and growing by hundreds of people weekly, 1000’s of people monthly.

But this also came with extreme sacrifice and hard work. My mentor does 7 live presentations a week from his Chiropractic office. Over 100 people show up per day, and over 1000 people per week are exposed to their products and message. Eighty percent of those exposed to this message sign up.

He has taken the "old hotel meeting model’ and turned it on it’s head, by simply teaching people who joined his group how to be inviters and how to bring people to his office to see him do a live presentation.

My mentor is single, has no family locally, and besides his Chiropractic work, this is all he eats, sleeps and breathes. By this effort, he’s making over $50,000 a month with his program.

And… he still works fulltime at his Chiropractic office (he is trying to sell it, so he can go full time), and he puts in about 20 hours a week to work his business, invite people and out of those 20 hours, he does about 10 hours of live presentations and trainings per week.

I am not telling you this story to say you have to be as committed to this as my mentor is, but by showing what a commitment looks like, and what he went through to become successful, you’re going to need to be absolutely committed to running a real business that takes 5-10 hours a week of your time. If you can put more time in, even better. Those that can put in more hours will be more successful.

Now here is an interesting fact about the new people my mentor has in his business….

His new and longtimers are not complaining.

There are no people looking to ‘break the mold and buck the system".

People are actually excited, love working together and the energy in the group he created is what I’ll be modeling my business after.

He does not teach them 15 ways to use the internet, social web 2.0 stuff, PPC, article marketing and submitting. Nope.. he just teaches them the same 10 second close that I’ll be teaching to you.

Success leaves traces and those traces are what we’ll be modeling as well.

I expect exactly the same results with how we’ll be building our team. I require your commitment to this and dedication as well.

Resorts 360 Sales Center

One unique position that we have in the market that other MLM and Direct Sales companies don’t have is our Sales Center option.

The R360 Sales Center changes the very way that most people do MLM businesses.

A lot of the same fundamentals still apply, but now what we offer in the marketplace has become ten times more appealing. It is a simple fact that people want to earn more money, and if they can do it in a way that does not require a large commitment of time, then they are all for it. But don’t get me wrong, there is a type of work ethic needed here that is very very important.

Bottom line—you have something of extreme value with your new business, that no other business or system can duplicate on the market.

This Sale Center is here to assist us as a tool. It is rather simple to succeed with it.

Our primary focus is to close the sales ourselves as this is where I believe we’ll make the most money. But, if you cannot do that, then the next best thing is for you to send qualified prospects to the call center after they have seen or heard a business exposue, and then let them do the follow up and closing of the sale for you.

Now, it’s not required that you use the Sales Center, but I do recommend you do use them, as when you get a hot prospect, but you cannot take a call or you are busy working, they will do the work for you.

When you send qualified prospects (which is someone who is serious about finding a business and understands that this is a serious business with a $398 minimum investment) to the Sale Center, then the representatives at the Sales Center have an opportunity to make a sale for you. And when the Sales Center makes a sale for you, you can earn between $10 & $200 on each sale. That kind of commission can add up quickly.  If you want to learn more about the compensation plan with the 3 entry points of $39.95, 2 payments of $199 or the single $398 payment plan, look at your resorts 360 website and go through the comp video and pdf doc. It’s pretty self explanatory.

Remember, the Sales Center is just a tool, they are not the entire system. Use them if you need to, but I will always advocate that by doing personal skills development in learning how to ‘close’ people on your own, you’ll do far more better by closing people who you already have relationships with and who already know, love and trust you.

How do you get your leads into the sales Center?

I use 3 way calling and 3 way them in. But If I am really busy, I’ll also send their name and phone #, plus my ID to leads@resorts360salescenter.com and tell them to follow up for me and they will!

The purpose of writing this material here is to help equip you on your journey to success in Resorts 360 working with the Sales Center. I don’t have all the answers, but I have learned from and worked with some of the most successful marketers in the business.

Don’t underestimate how important and influencial you are to others in your circle of influence. And if you don’t have a circle of influence, get one.

When I chose to get started in Resorts 360, I made a commitment to myself. I said, “I don’t care if I don’t make a dime in this business for my first two months, I’m here to learn from the best—from the people that know how to make money with this business.” I expect you to have the same attitude as well.

Show me a business out there where we can earn over $50,000 a month in less than 18 months? It simply does not exist.

If you make a commitment, that beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will succeed in this business, no matter how long it takes, then you will.

Your mantra is never give up and don’t let people’s opinions about you or your product get you down because you are ‘doing one of those things’ which they have no clue about. It’s either for them and sells itself, or it’s not and you drop it and move on and don’t pound it over people’s heads.

Follow the guidelines that you find here. Stay plugged into the weekly training calls and you will be well informed.

The most important thing you can do is to spend time talking with people who are seriously looking at joining your business. You will not make any money when you are on the phone with me. You will only make money when you are talking with your potential team members, and doing the 10 second close to your warm market list.

That does not mean that you cannot reach me for help, or that you must turn into a sales person. But what it does mean is that if you truly want to find success then you must stay engaged in the primary MONEY MAKING activity of your business, which is introducing the income opportunity or travel packages to potential clients and associates by becoming a professional INVITER.

Yes, that’s right… all you need to do, is master the skill of inviting, and I’ll be your teacher and show you how it’s done.

 

II. Commitment Letter

Take ten minutes and write out a full-page commitment letter to yourself, and make me a copy as well. In the letter, identify your three most important “whys” so that you understand why you are starting this business. When you have strong enough “whys”, you can figure out almost any “how”. It is your reasons for doing this business that will drive you. Paste your letter on your wall. Put it in your wallet or purse. When you have down time, pull it out, and read it outloud if you are alone or quietly to yourself.

Tomorrow you will have forgotten about the letter and you will be surprised when you see it posted, in front of you. Let it remind you often, when you have a bad day, why you are here and what you wish to accomplish, so you can reach those dreams and goals you made.

III. Goals Exercise

What are YOUR Goals?

Resorts 360 is a powerful vehicle that can get you to wherever you want to go in life. You now have the key to the ignition! How fast you want to go depends entirely on you.

Please understand that you have a strong support team that is behind you 100% of the way and looking forward to seeing you realize all the goals you set for yourself.

Part 1, of our training is focusing on YOUR GOALS. Believe it or not, this may be one of the most important things you will do starting this business. Remember if you want us to assist you in getting something different out of life, we’re going to have to know what YOUR goals and aspirations are! Then we will GET TO WORK with you. Fair enough?

It is important for you to recognize what you want out of this business and then communicate that to me and the team so that we can help you to achieve your goals.

Accomplishing things in life are as easy as 1, 2, 3, and 4.

1) You have to Know what you want

2) You have to Decide that you are getting it

3) You have to Create a Plan

4) You must be willing to Begin today and work that plan

Goals are important because they keep you focused. They allow you to spend energy on the right things, rather than focusing on things that appear as obstacles or challenges along the way.

Several VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO CONSIDER about GOALS:

1) They should be specific

2) They should be written down

3) They should be time stamped (date you wrote them)

4) They should be time specific for completion

5) They should be measurable

6) They should be affirmed aloud every day

7) Long Term Goals are important. You should begin with the end in mind.

8) Short-term goals are just as important. A great time to start your short-term goals is at the beginning of every month.

9) They should be reported to an accountability partner who will be certain to hold you to completing your goals.

The SECRET to succeeding in any business is the ability to start FRESH!

* You have a slow month, Start FRESH

* You have some people drop out, start FRESH

* You have a need to make some money right away, start FRESH

Let’s take a look at some good areas to set some goals, then we’ll look at how to write them down into an affirmation which we can record, or use some free software to send you a reminder everyday.

Standard Topics for goals can be separated into:

*MIND * BODY * FAMILY * FINANCES * SOCIETY*

We want to be balanced. It is great to make a lot of money, but we should be just as serious about setting goals to be healthy, happy, in loving and supportive relationships, spiritually and emotionally satisfied, and how we can positively make a difference in the lives of others.

Let’s look at some reasons that motivated some of us to get into a home-based business in the 1st place! If you do not know what your reason is, then perhaps some of these examples will help you define that for yourself.

* * Get rid of a job we hate

* * Pay off credit cards

* * Take a much needed vacation

* * Buy a new car

* * Save up for a college education (yours or your children’s)

* * Do some home improvements

* * Create some extra money to help a family member or friend in need

* * Travel on Business

* * Create a track record of success

* * Be a good example of abundance for your kids

* * Pay off back taxes

* * Save up some money for retirement

* * Leave Your Legacy

* * Support Your church or missionaries

IV. Staying Plugged-In

One of the very important things that you will want to do is stay plugged in with what’s happening day-to-day with the team. Go for active participation and full involvement—it will pay off for you. Don’t wait for business to come to you, go and get it. It’s there for those who take consistent repetitive effort. Doing internet marketing will be more like, "wait n see" marketing, where you have NO CONTROL on how many and who comes to you and WHEN… so go GET THEM  YOURSELF.

Stay on the phone on our training calls and with your leads and never worry about any big bills.

V. Forms of Advertising & Marketing

I strongly advise you NOT to do any advertising or internet marketing for your first 90 days in this business. If possible don’t even think about it as you may never ever need it. It will just create a distraction for you ultimately.

Using the “10 Second Close” I’ll teach you, I know you’ll find success in your warm market first. By going to the warm market of friends, family, business networking relationships, people you know, roommates, etc.. you are using the power of your persona and your posture to make a simple introduction to someone.

We never make introductions in person, meaning face to face, you’ll blow it… they’ll corner, and ask you all kinds of questions! We always use the phone, as you’ll have more posture over the phone than you will doing an invite in person.

Once you begin using this 10 second close on people, and you start seeing results, you’ll discover all that nonsense on the internet just wastes your time and keeps you busy from making money. And the more people you talk with around you, and the more people you help under you by teaching them the same highly duplicatable 10 second closing skill, the more success we’ll all have by building a giant team and downline. And that translates into MORE MONEY for everyone.

I look at it from this perspective…

What is the fastest and most easily duplicatable method we can teach people?

And the answer is just help them open their mouths, over the phone to their warm market lists and don’t prejudge or pre-qualify anyone.

It’s natural.

We do it all the time when we make recommendations.

But it also is a skill and it must be developed over time so you get better at it and the better you do get, the more money you’ll make!

In the past, in my mind, going to the warm market, to get them to buy into a $1295, $1500, $3995 or $11K product was just too risky… A deal that goes bad or the person does not make any money after investing $11k weighs heavy on your conscious doesn’t it? Even though it’s not your fault that if you brought people in and they failed… it’s still hard not to take it personally and think, “Maybe it was a mistake to bring them in?”

But know this… people will rise or fall to success based on the desire and passion in their heart and if people are going to succeed, it’ll be on their efforts, never yours. You can be the biggest cheerleader in the world… you can lead a horse to water, but… we cannot make people drink or work. It’s up to them.

With Resorts 360, a person can get in for $398 and if they blow it off… well, I am sure people make bigger financial mistakes than $398 on other things, and so there is a much lower risk factor here.

Plus, even people who say… “I don’t have any money” will have $39.95 to get started on the monthly plan with Resorts 360, there should be very little buyer resistance to this, once people see how easy it is to talk about because travel is already an inherent , YES!

Ask the person who just came into some money… what will you do with it? “I’m gonna travel the world!”

Travel is a bigger industry than health and nutritional companies doing the same style of business we are, but, no one has to stock bottles of pills, potions, lotions and bottles all over the house on expensive monthly autoships.

Here is a simple step by step sequence of how you’ll make a sale, and yes… it really is this easy, if you just open your mouth.

The 10 Second Warm Market Closing Script:

STEP 1: Call a person over the phone. Do not send email, do not talk to them face to face. Do not write them a letter or send them a text message. For this to work and get the most  YESES, you’ll have to do this over the phone where you can be in control. Use the 10 Second Close on them. Lead says YES, which means you win, you won the right to take them to the next step.

Here is the 10 Second Closing Script to use on them, and no matter what… DO NOT DEVIATE from this script or try to get friendly or think you can do it better than what this script says… This script is meant for speed, to create curiosity, and serious interest. When done correctly, your warm market will be EAGER to hear about your new find and welcome their new discovery with you, especially if they love to travel and make money!

Make that list of 200 people, make your calls, as every call is one step closer to a YES!


[YOU] Hey CHRIS, Jeff here…. listen… I don’t have a lot of time right now, what are you doing today (tonight) at (Name a time… a time you think they’ll have open) 7:00?

[CHRIS] Ummm… nothing really why?

[YOU] Hey I have something you gotta see, I don’t have time to explain it right now, as I am getting into meeting, it’s 90% visual so I cannot explain it over the phone… so you’re free at 7:00?

[CHRIS] Ya, I guess, sure….

[YOU] ok listen, I need to run, what I’ll do is call you back about 6:55 pm then, I’ll talk to you then! Bye!

 

Now, here is what you say if they are Not available….

[YOU] Hey CHRIS, Jeff here…. listen… I don’t have a lot of time right now, what are you doing today (tonight) at (Name a time… a time you think they’ll have open) 7:00?

[CHRIS] Well, I gotta take my daughter to Dance class.

[YOU] Oh, ok, I’ll catch you later then… I gotta run. (click – hang up)

 

What to say if you leave a message?

[YOU] BEEEEEP!  Hey Chris, it’s Jeff Mills, when you get this message, can you call me back? My # is 651-769-2189, talk to you soon"

That’s it, do not try to do ANY presentations! Do not explain ANYTHING about the program or I got a bizopp. Don’t try to get friendly, just follow the script.

 

STEP 2: Lead will show up to one of about 8 types of exposure/presentation tools that you have that include one of these methods. Only expose them to 1 method. Don’t give them a choice, know in your mind before you call them back which method you want to plug them into.

Remember your job is not to sell or convince or even try to do a presentation, let the pros and tools do all that!  It’s just ask and be a professional inviter by inviting your prospect to one of these 8 exposure tools, once they said yes to you using the 10 second close.

Here is the tip, we use  tools and technology to do the selling and presentations for us. We never do them ourselves! This is how you win.

The opportunity is bigger and more exciting than you think, so don’t prejudge anyone, let them decide for themselves.

Let’s say you want to use the 10 second close to invite a person to come to a recorded 24/7webinar and they are free at 7:00 pm. So, doing the 10 Second Close from step 1, you get them to agree with you to show up at 7:00 pm or a time that they said worked for them.

Here is what you tell them…

Don’t be late, follow up on time and note…. 70% of the people you call back will not show up, don’t take it personally, I’ll show you what to say if they miss the appointment.

[YOU] Hey Chris, it’s Jeff calling you back, thanks for taking my call, did you still have that time set aside for me now?

[CHRIS] Yea, you sounded really serious when you called is everything ok?

[YOU] Oh ya, things are incredible. What I told you earlier that what I wanted for you to see was 90% visual and that I couldn’t explain it over the phone, so can you get in front of a computer connected to the internet and be on the phone at the same time?

[CHRIS] Yea, hold on, lemme login…. what’s this about again….?

[YOU] As I said, it’s something that I just don’t know how to explain over the phone, lemme know when you got a browser up, as I’m going to give you a website….

[CHRIS] Ok, I am ready….

[YOU] Great, type this in at the place where you type in website URL’s  – www.r360webinar.com…. that r 360 webinar, W E B I N A R dot com. Lemme know when you get there, should see a video there.

[CHRIS] Ok, I see it, what is this?

[YOU] Well, what this is …is a way to get anything you want in life, trust me… what I need you to do is spend the next 45 minutes or so, watching the video, that’s it, I know that’s kinda long, but it’s worth it. What I’ll do is call you back when it’s done, how about in 1 hour and 15 minutes?

[CHRIS] Ok, it’s kinda long… but since you insisted, I’ll take a look and we’ll talk later…. I guess….

[YOU] Excellent, seriously… you thank me when it over, it’s really that special, I need to get into my next meeting now, so I’ll catch you back in 1 hour 15 minutes.

If they Miss the Appointment

[YOU] Hey Chris, it’s Jeff calling you back…. hey we had an appointment scheduled for now, something important musta come up, I hope you are ok? Hey listen, about our meeting, don’t worry about it, just call me back when you get this, Please let me know everything is ok? 651-769-2189. *Click

STEP 3: This step is the follow up step and here is where most people blow it. They don’t get back to the individuals they exposed the products and business to and they drop the ball. More business is lost and flushed down the toilet due to a lack of active follow-up. So here, you’ll simply call your lead back and ask them a couple of really quick and easy, non threatening questions to see if they have any interest in the products or biz opp. Don’t freak out because you are going to ask them for money… It’s should as natural as when you go to buy groceries at the store and once they are all scanned, the cashier says.. Cash, check or charge and you don’t even blink and whip out the money. You’re friends will do the same, IF you do this next step correctly.

What to Say to Close the Sale After they See an Exposure

[YOU] Hey Chris, just calling you back, did you get a chance to watch the entire presentation?

[CHRIS] Ya, I did, wow!

[YOU] I know … so tell me, what did you like the most about it?

[CHRIS] I loved the travel program and the income opportunity both!

[YOU] Oh ya? When I first say this, I felt the same way too! Tell me more about that… what do you mean?

[CHRIS] Well… the vacation savings are amazing, I did not know you could save so much money on condos and I sure could use those extra $500 checks!

[YOU] Ya, I know what you mean. So Chris, do you want to make a little bit of money or a lot?

[CHRIS] Well, I wanna make a lot Jeff, why not?

[YOU] Yea? Cool, what for?

[CHRIS] Well, I got some bills to pay off and I really need a new car in the worst way and this will be perfect for that.

[YOU] So do you see yourself getting started with our product at the $39.95 program and working your way slowly to the top or do you see yourself positioning yourself in our top package where you’ll earn $500 on each product sale?

OBJECTIONS AND QUESTIONS USUALLY COME OUT HERE – Answer a few

[CHRIS] Well, I got some questions about how we get paid.. how do they send us the money (this is really just a stall… they want to join, but they have questions, so answer 2 or 3 of them only, but no more than 2 or 3)

[YOU] Ok, let me write that down… "How do we get paid", Was there a second question?  (If they ask, tell them you’re writing that one down too by repeating the question, as you write it down., then say…) ok, did you have a Third Question? (And keep doing the same thing until you have all their questions out in the open, then answer them all one at a time….)The company pays weekly by check, and they pay on the results of you selling other people our travel product. Those $500 commissions really can add up, especially once your team gets duplicating you! Did I answer your question (s) ok?

[CHRIS] Ya, you did

[YOU] Ok, did you have another question?

[CHRIS] No, that was it.

[YOU] Ok great, so, do you see yourself making money with Resorts 360?

[YOU] Great! Welcome aboard! How do you want your name spelled on your check?

Sign them up in your back office using the "place a member in your downline" feature. Congratulations!

**NOTE: Did you notice the entire time… I never did any presentations or selling… I just LED the lead through the process and kept connecting them to the next step until the close! I over came any questions or objections, which is normal and nothing to be feared.

STEP 4: If your friend likes the program, you sign them up right there, on your website by doing the work with them. Don’t tell them to sign up at your website and then hang up. TAKE THEM TO COMPLETION AND PAYMENT! I’ll make a video showing you how to do this, it’s simple, easy and you can position your person in your binary leg strategically or randomly. It’s up to you.

If you’d like to use our sales center, then that is an option here at step 4 as well. What you’d do instead of signing up the person yourself over the phone is… you’d 3 way the prospect to the sales center, once you know your friend attended a business exposure. You’d then have the sales center do all the closing questions for you. I’ll have more specific training on this too, at a later time. Need help with 3 way calling and how to do it? Call you phone company and test it out with your sister before you try it, it’s not hard but you gotta practice it first.

VI. Leads

We use the term “leads” to refer to prospects and potential clients of our R360 product. In my experience, people seem to have a fear of going to their warm market, which are the people close to you who know , love, like and trust you.

So what typically happens is that the fear of talking to someone you’ve had a relationship with all your life, or the fear of speaking to a good or distant friend drives you to do something totally crazy…. (again, trust me… pay attention here, I’ll save you from more pain and grief!)

You’ll let that fear of rejection take you down a path you know absolutely nothing about and because you think you’ll want to avoid pain so badly, you’ll start ADVERTISING and trying to LEARN internet marketing techniques to drive traffic to your site and ‘develop’ a lead this way with people you do not know or care about and who also by the way… really don’t care about you.

Isn’t that kinda weird? You’d rather avoid the people you love and then go talk to strangers and try to get them to join you. No wonder so many people fail on the internet! They’ve been duped, or they just keep pulling people off other programs into their next deal and soon, someone pulls them outa your downline into the next next deal and you lose em cause they just DID NOT CARE.

DO NOT DO THIS!

So what happens is you spend $1000’s on training courses, stay up late at night, shut your mouth and just work all the time trying to generate a couple of leads a day (through ‘automation’) just so you can talk to them about this product, but one thing is really lacking… there is no relationship with these phantom leads who visit your site, and quickly after visiting your site, move on to your competitors site next!

Now it becomes a race… who will talk to this ‘phantom lead’ the quickest and rope in the sale? Who will make a "special offer" to seal the deal?

Listen, I most likely know people better than you do and what works better than you do. So I want you to listen to me when I tell you this… and I want you to take action down the path that leads to success, versus the path that leads to failure. If you DON’T listen to me, and you try to do it your way… God Have Mercy on your soul… only a FEW will luck out and I’d rather you take your chances with my 10 second close to the people in your circle of influence.

DO NOT try to go to the internet, buy Pay-Per-Click Ads, do Youtube videos, make blogs, make lead capture pages, use twitter, facebook, myspace or other social media websites… YET. Maybe someday… but for sure not in you first 90 days.

Those could all be great methods you use SOMEDAY, but 9.9 times out of 10, you’re just fine going to the close people around you and beginning and building a check in your company just by opening your mouth and employing the 10 second close correctly to your warm market.

The “10 Second Close” as I’ve branded it, is nothing more than asking a simple question where you get a YES more times than you get a NO.

This business is all about getting little “yeses” and getting more Yes answers than no will lead to success.

So, this technique ONLY works on people you know and have a relationship with. It will not work with people or leads who do not know you or people you find on the internet or buy off a lead list.

But know this… All you need are 3 people to join you and you’ve got your money back. My goal for you is to see you get 6-15 people signed up under you in your first 90 days (you certainly can do more too) and then duplicate this with the 6-15 people you signed up and teach this exact method and our teams will literally explode from our volume and concerted efforts by talking to friends who love travel and see the opportunity.

How to Recruit the Warm Market 7 days to Success!

Day 1 – On the day your lead joins us, have them get familiar with their website and the links and tools in the back office at www.myresorts360.com. They will get a username and pw once they join us to get into their ‘back office.’ Have them read this page on my blog to get their mindset tweaked and rocked.

Day 2 – Get organized. Carve out a space in your house that is WORK space, that is quiet, has a door you can close and is private and free of clutter, kids, the dog and the spouse. This is your sanctuary, this is where you’ll make most of your dials from. Get office supplies, pens, notebooks and things a business owner would need to keep track and run a successful business.

Try not to think that by being busy, being busy shuffling papers and organizing your new ‘office’ is going to make you money. So stop right away, alphabetizing your warm market lists and putting their phone #’s in numerical order starting from the West Cost moving to the East Cost… just don’t go there, get set up quick and get on that phone QUICKLY!

Day 3 – Make a list of 200 people. We’ll call this your resource list. It’s a proven fact that by the age of 25 you know more than 1000 people personally. And these are the people who will resource your business by buying your travel club product as customers or both as customers and distributors.

When it comes to making this list, I want you not to prejudge or disqualify ANYONE. Don’t worry about it if you think you are in the NFL club (No friends left). That’s not true and you know it, you have real friends who love you and who most definitely want to travel someday soon, and so this is going to help them. Keep this in your mind, your product helps people save money in ways they did not know they could. Mybe they said no to you from a $1000 product, but a $39.95 product is a NO BRAINER, they just did not know it existed before until now!

Start with your cell phone. Make a list of all the names on your cell phone and put the names and phone #’s on a piece of paper, like a composition journal or notebook. This notebook will be your lifeline for at least 90 days, so make sure its sturdy and will maintain wear and tear. Carry it around, and make dials often, but don’t be a stalker and call your friends 10 times a day every hour.

At the top of your notebook, write – SW, SW, SW – Next

This stands for (SW) Some Will, (SW) Some Won’t (SW) So What – Next

Out of 200 people, who knows how many will say yes, some will, some won’t so what, next, move on to the next person. Don’t take it personally if a person say’s no, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. Maybe the timing is not right for them.

When you go out to eat and at the end of your meal, the waitress asks you if you want dessert and we say, "no" … she does not run crying to the cook yelling …. "dessert doesn’t work… I quit this business is a scam!"  She just acts like water off a ducks back and say ok, lemme get your check and she knows she’ll try it with the next person, and sometimes, they say YES!

Day 4 – Plug into the closing objections training – Get scriptbooks from www.thescriptbook.com, get BOTH scriptbook 1 and supplemental script book. These books are really valuable with training on how to work with your warm market, giving you step-by-step answers on what to say to people. READ word for word out of these book with no fear, it’s how people like you and me are millionaires in this business cause they simply read scripts and have their teams read the exact same scripts too.

Day 5 – Begin making your phone calls to warm market lists and inviting them to the different business exposure tools using the 10 Second Close.

Day 6 – continue to make phone calls to warm market and follow up calls.

Day 7 – Continue to make phone calls and follow up with people. Plug into training calls, and call me for help and guidance. Watch for formal training phone calls to get motivating and skill sets developed. Stay plugged in, never quit!

VII. Personal Development Resources

In my opinion, training is perhaps the number one factor in your success, both in the short term and especially in the long-term. Many people will get started in a home-based business or even a traditional business thinking that training is not important or irrelevant. Nothing could be further from the truth. Professional training is an absolute.

 

• Do you know anyone in the corporate world that made it to the top of their organization without investing heavily in training?

• Do you know any actors, actresses, singers, dancers or professional athletes that rose to the top without a massive investment of professional training or coaching along the way?

• What makes us think that we can get started in a business, invest less than $400 to join, and go out and make a six-figure, or multiple six-figure income, without professional training or coaching?

The fact of the matter is that if you expect to find good success in this business, then I believe that you must be willing to invest in training for yourself to be a professional in this business. You must be willing to put in the time for experience and education if you are seeking the rewards of what this business can do for you.

Will it be worth the time and money? Heck yes!

Back in the summer of 2003 I joined a home business called Pre-Paid Legal. I did not really like the idea of sponsoring friends and family or doing any recruiting so I decided that I would sell their legal service plans. The commission I earned on each sale ranged from $80-$130—not very exciting, but it was a start. I had learned from studying successful people in the past that the fastest way to get from where you are to where you want to be is to find someone who has already achieved that result you want and simply find out what they did. And then if you do what they do, you will find similar results yourself.

I took that principle of modeling successful people and found one of the most successful persons selling these legal plans. He lived in Maryland and I lived in Virginia, but actually even to this day, we have never met in person. I called him one day, out of the blue to introduce myself and I started talking with him about his business and what made him successful. I asked as many questions as I could and eventually he told me that if I was serious in wanting to learn what he did, I could hire him for coaching. That coaching was going to cost me $110 an hour. Now this was my first ever opportunity for professional coaching and so that seemed like a lot of money to me, but I was committed to making $4000 a month (at the time), so it was a very tiny price to pay to achieve that outcome.

I hired him for three hours of coaching for a total of $330, which was my very first investment into professional level training. He basically taught me the system that he used to make a five-figure monthly income selling these legal plans. I learned his script and approach; I learned about his lead sources and business contacts. I wound up hiring him for an additional two hours and spending a total of $550. To make a long story-short, I learned how to make that $4000 a month by investing $550 in my own professional education. Did it pay off? Absolutely. I gained a new skill that paid me for my effort.

Several months later, I was introduced to a woman who is currently a trainer for home-based businesses. She started in business at the age of 19, failed for her first six months and then went to a professional training seminar which totally changed her business. After graduating from that first training seminar she began earning a quarter-million dollars a year.

Through a series of personal misfortunes, she wound up broke and homeless less than a year later. She was homeless for a period of two weeks but then picked herself up, started in a new business, and earned her first million dollars by the age of 23. Her name is Dani Johnson and she is a seven-figure income earner and trainer for our industry. She has taught tens of thousands of people how to find success in our type of business. But back to the story…

I was introduced to Dani’s training sometime in 2003, but I cannot remember when. In January 2004 I started listening to free training calls that she conducted every Monday night and then I would listen over and over to the calls as they were stored on her website. I listened to her training for six straight months before I decided to attend her two day training seminar. That first event was in Tampa, Florida June 12 & 13, 2004. After that event I came home and was working with a my mentor and very good friend Jeff Mills when I was introduced to a business he was running.

I went on to hire Dani for professional coaching several times at $300 an hour, as well as attend her three day advanced leadership training in November of 2004. All I can say is that I earned about $135,000 in my first 14 months in business and I feel it was a direct result of my mentors in business and the professional training that I received.

How to Gain a Life-Long Skill Set

I have a certain belief about training. I believe that if you want to make a certain amount of money, let’s just say $250,000 a year—that it comes down to having certain skill sets. And what I mean by skill sets is that you have learned how to do something and you get paid for that skill set.

Imagine that you wanted to become a doctor for example. You would go to medical school and invest $100k-$250K in your education to become a doctor, i.e. to gain the skill set of a doctor. That same thing applies in business. I believe that if you want to earn a certain level of income, then it takes a certain skill set to be able to earn that kind of income. If you want to earn $100,000 in a home business then there are certain things that you need to learn in order to achieve that goal—and once you learn and apply those skills, you will (by the law of cause and effect, sowing and reaping, action and reaction) achieve that level of income.

So if your goal is to earn a professional level of income in this business, then I submit that you must be willing and committed to invest in professional training for yourself. Imagine you had just invested $1.2 Million in a McDonalds franchise…. How eager would you be to get trained on how to do that business right? Exactly! You would be highly motivated to learn exactly what you needed to do in order to achieve success in that business. This business is no different. Be willing to invest in yourself and this business can pay you handsome rewards.

And guess what? There is a real bonus that comes along with professional training—once you learn a new skill that makes you money, you get to keep it for the rest of your life!

Say you invest $3000 this year in your own professional development and training; the bonus is that you will get to keep what you learned and apply it for the rest of your life. I always felt it would be worth me paying $500,000 to be able to learn how to make $500,000 a year. Because guess what, I will have that skill and ability the rest of my life so when I learn how to earn half-a-million dollars a year one year, then I can do it again and again and again.

Take a word of advice from the very wise Ben Franklin who said, “If a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.”

With all that being said, I want to point you in the direction of the training resources that I have run across in my time with this industry that I feel are of great value. Please don’t limit your choice to just these options—seek out your own as well. Also, keep in mind that I do not receive any commissions or finders fees for recommending these resources to you. VIII. My Personal Challenge

My personal challenge to you is this. Decide, truly decide, if you are going to give this business your absolute best. This business is not easy, just like life is not easy. There will probably be times when you are going to want to quit, to throw in the towel, think everyone is poor, with no money, and no motivation to change their lives, but what distinguishes those who go on to achieve great success from those who live a life of regret is the decisions you make at times of difficulty.

When things are rough and the last thing you want to do is try again, will you keep on keeping on? Will you persist past the trials? The people who have gone on to find the greatest success in this world often had to endure some of the greatest disappointments, but the common thread that ran through their lives was the never-give-up mentality of pure persistence.

Commit to be here a year from now. If you will do that, make a solid, 100% commitment that you will still be in this business a year from now, and that you will be on your way to achieving your goals, I submit to you that it will happen.

THREE FEET FROM GOLD

One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat. Every person is guilty of this mistake at one time or another.

An uncle of R.U. Darby was caught by the "gold fever" in the gold-rush days, and went west to DIG AND GROW RICH. He had never heard that more gold has been mined from the brains of men than has ever been taken from the earth. He staked a claim and went to work with pick and shovel. The going was hard, but his lust for gold was definite.

After weeks of labor, he was rewarded by the discovery of the shining ore. He needed machinery to bring the ore to the surface. Quietly, he covered up the mine, retraced his footsteps to his home in Williamsburg, Maryland, told his relatives and a few neighbors of the "strike." They got together money for the needed machinery, had it shipped. The uncle and Darby went back to work the mine.

The first car of ore was mined, and shipped to a smelter. The returns proved they had one of the richest mines in Colorado! A few more cars of that ore would clear the debts. Then would come the big killing in profits.

Down went the drills! Up went the hopes of Darby and Uncle! Then something happened! The vein of gold ore disappeared! They had come to the end of the rainbow, and the pot of gold was no longer there! They drilled on, desperately trying to pick up the vein again-all to no avail.

Finally, they decided to QUIT.

They sold the machinery to a junk man for a few hundred dollars, and took the train back home.

Some "junk" men are dumb, but not this one! He called in a mining engineer to look at the mine and do a little calculating. The engineer advised that the project had failed, because the owners were not familiar with "fault lines." His calculations showed that the vein would be found JUST THREE FEET FROM WHERE THE DARBYS HAD STOPPED DRILLING! That is exactly where it was found!

The" Junk" man took millions of dollars in ore from the mine, because he knew enough to seek expert counsel before giving up.

Most of the money which went into the machinery was procured through the efforts of R.U. Darby, who was then a very young man. The money came from his relatives and neighbors, because of their faith in him. He paid back every dollar of it, although it took years to do so.

Long afterward, Mr. Darby recouped his loss many times over, when he made the discovery that DESIRE can be transmuted into gold. The discovery came after he went into the business of selling life insurance.

Remembering that he lost a huge fortune, because he STOPPED three feet from gold, Darby profited by the experience in his chosen work, by the simple method of saying to himself, "I stopped three feet from gold, but I will never stop because men say ‘no’ when I ask them to buy insurance."

Darby is one of a small group of fewer than fifty men who sell more than a million dollars in life insurance annually. He owes his "stickability" to the lesson he learned from his "quitability" in the gold mining business.

Before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to QUIT . That is exactly what the majority of men do.

More than five hundred of the most successful men this country has ever known, told the author their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them. Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping one when success is almost within reach.
